Time To Change: a counsellor in South Birmingham

WHY CHOOSE TIME TO CHANGE?

Choosing an effective helping professional isn’t just about a list of qualifications and experience.  It’s about how you feel when you work with that person.

I offer a warm welcome to all my clients and do not discriminate against any person on the grounds of ethnicity or colour, sexuality, disability, religion or politics. I work at a therapy centre that has private parking, a receptionist and waiting area and a private, comfortable room for us to talk in. I am committed to being available at the times I say I will be and getting back to you as soon as I can.

My style of counselling is integrative which means I combine theories and techniques from three main counselling models – person-centred, cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic. This means I can work with you in a fluid way, moving between current problems, past experiences and hopes for the future without staying fixed on one time or issue.

I’ve been working as a counsellor and life coach since I left the commercial sector in 2000. Since then I have worked in a variety of settings including GP practices, a private hospital, mental health rehabilitation units and a voluntary youth centre.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and registered with the United Kingdom Register for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I adhere to the BACP ethical framework which you can see on www.bacp.co.uk.
